Today's attendance: Click on the appropriate "tardy" or "absent" radio button. Make sure that the "edit seating" radio button is disabled. Then click on the student's name on the seating chart and a "T" or an "A" will appear in the appropriate date on the attendance sheet. You are automatically returned to the seating chart as soon as this is done. 2. Editing attendance records: If you need to enter explanations for student's absences, as most of us do, then you will have to type in the date or dates in the fields provided underneath today's date. The format is crucial -- "September 15, 1988," for example, should be typed "Sep 15" or else the program will not handle the attendance item properly. 3. Attendance statistics: Use menu item "Attendance" to go to a student's attendance card. Once there, you can click on the blank spaces next to the statistical information desired and, after a momentary wait, the number of absences, tardies, or whatever you wish, will be computed. Future upgrades of Classroom Administrator will do this by semester.
